As they moved to 11-1 after a blowout win over the New York Giants Sunday, it officially became fair to wonder whether the 2022 Philadelphia Eagles will go down as the greatest team in franchise history.
And with another dominant performance in a 48-22 drubbing of the Giants, Jalen Hurts perhaps moved to the top of the NFL MVP leaderboard, if he wasn't already there.
Hurts completed 21 of 31 pass attempts Sunday, throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Additionally, Hurts added 77 rushing yards on seven carries, and another score.
The former second-round pick now has 22 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing touchdowns in his third season. Perhaps the most impressive part of Hurts' MVP candidacy is that he's been picked off just three times in 2022.
While Patrick Mahomes, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Jefferson and Joe Burrow are among other notable MVP candidates, some seemed to believe that Hurts made himself the clear front-runner with Sunday's showing:
