A new study has determined the most dangerous NFL stadiums to pay a visit to, and despite the seemingly-neverending rise in the New Orleans crime statistics, the Caesars Superdome does not sit in the vicinity of the list’s number-1 spot.
The home of the Denver Broncos, Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo., was determined to be the NFL’s most dangerous stadium to visit.
The results were determined by crime statistics for the zip codes that serve as home to each of the 32 NFL stadiums across the U.S.
The Denver zip code where Empower Field at Mile High resides features 70 crimes per 1,000 residents.
Rounding out the top five most dangerous homes of NFL teams, Lumen Field in Seattle came in second, followed by Ford Field in Detroit in third place.
U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis sits fourth and Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium is in fifth.
Four of those five also made up the top five when it came to local property crime numbers in those zip codes, with Denver and Seattle again place 1 and 2, and Minnesota and Kansas City at 4 and 5.
The only difference was FedEx Field, home of the Washington Commanders, taking third place rather than Detroit.
The list was shuffled though when it comes to violent crime numbers.
In that ranking, Detroit comes in first, and Kansas City takes fourth place.
Cleveland Browns Stadium sits in second on that list with M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens, taking third.
The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans ranks fifth in terms of violent crime in the stadium’s vicinity.
The numbers were compiled by Sportsbook Review.
