The Red Sox are climbing the Power Rankings
PHILADELPHIA - Good times are happening with all things Red Sox these days, with their 7-4 win over the Phillies Saturday night - their eighth straight victory - serving as the latest example.
The vibes have become so radiant that even the Phillie Phanatic wanted to get a piece of the action.
The legendary Philadelphia mascot stormed into the Red Sox broadcast booth in the sixth inning and assumed the chair occupied by Rob Bradford, joining Will Flemming for baseball's most unique play-by-play team.
Just before the visit from the Phanatic, the furry green ball of good times had visited the Phillies broadcast booth to help announcer Larry Andersen celebrate his 70th birthday.
Prior to the game, the Phanatic did his best to try and throw Kutter Crawford off his game while the pitcher participated in a pregame standoff with Philadelphia's Matt Strahm.
