Tom Brady does not know what he is going to do this offseason and, quite frankly, is already tired of being asked about it.
The 45-year-old quarterback had a bit of a caustic response on his “Let’s Go!” podcast when co-host Jim Gray asked Brady if he had any sort of timetable on when he would make a decision on his future.
“Jim, if I knew what I was gonna f—king do, I’d have already f—king done it,” he said. “Ok? I’ll take it one day at a time.”
Gray sounded caught off guard by his answer, replying, “I sense you’re antagonized by the question.”
“You’re scratchy,” Brady said. “…I appreciate you asking.”
What Brady decides to do is one of the major storylines of the NFL offseason.
NFL free agency begins March 15 (although negotiating begins March 13), so a decision would presumably come before then on his intentions for 2023.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion had announced his retirement last winter, which lasted less than six weeks before he decided to return for another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The season was a disappointment, however, which ended in a first-round loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Many believe that if Brady does return for another season it will not be with the Bucs.
One thing is for sure: do not ask Brady about it or he’ll drop a couple of f-bombs.
