One of the top basketball recruits in the country in 2020 will be playing for Michigan in 2023.
The Wolverines have landed former North Carolina guard Caleb Love in the transfer portal, Love announced Friday via Twitter.

It's a big get for Juwan Howard and Michigan, who are coming off an 18-16 season and have several holes to fill after losing their top three scorers in Hunter Dickinson (portal), Jett Howard (NBA Draft) and Kobe Bufkin (NBA Draft). Love was considered one of the top players in the portal.
A senior to be, Love was UNC's leading scorer this season with 16.7 points per game. He was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team last season when he helped the Tar Heels win the national title and was ACC All-Freshman the season prior to that.
Love also led UNC in shots this season by a healthy margin, despite shooting under 40 percent from the field and under 30 percent from three. Michigan will need him to be more efficient.
A scorer by nature, Love was one of the top-15 recruits in the country in 2020 and the second best point guard to future No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham.
