Most of Jim Harbaugh's staff should remain intact entering next season. But there will be at least one defection.
Defensive line coach Shaun Nua is leaving Michigan to take the same job at USC, according to Pete Thamel. Nua, hired in that capacity under Harbaugh in 2019, increased his profile this season by overseeing one of the best pass-rushing tandems in the country in Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo.
The two projected first-round picks combined for 25 sacks.
USC is in the midst of a program overhaul under new head coach Lincoln Riley, who arrived last month from Oklahoma. Nua has West Coast roots, having played and coached at BYU and also coached at Arizona State.
The nation's No. 31 recruiter this year according to 247 Sports, Nua helped the Wolverines land a pair of top-100 recruits in DL Derrick Moore and OT Andrew Gentry.
