While Michigan is moving on to the Big Ten championship game and likely the College Football Playoff, it appears Blake Corum's season is over.
The star running back who injured his knee two weeks ago against Illinois and wasn't able to play in last Saturday's win over Ohio State is expected to have season-ending knee surgery, per Ian Rapoport.
It would be a disappointing ending to a great season for Corum, who had run his way into the Heisman conversation with 1,457 yards and 17 touchdowns in his first 11 games.
Corum did try to play last week against the Buckeyes, but was quickly forced to the sidelines. The Wolverines did just fine without him, with sophomore Donovan Edwards rushing for 216 yards and two fourth quarter touchdowns in Michigan's 45-23 romp. The former five-star recruit will lead the way in the backfield moving forward.
Corum, who hasn't yet decided whether he's staying at Michigan for another or leaving for the NFL, is expected to make a full recovery following surgery.
