Michigan lands five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis

Jim Harbaugh and Michigan have landed one of the biggest recruits of Harbaugh's tenure as head coach.

Five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis, one of the top overall players in the class of 2024, committed to the Wolverines on Friday, live on ESPN's SportsCenter.

A native of North Carolina, where he attended Providence Day School, Davis pulled on a block 'M' Michigan and said, "It is my great honor to announce for the next 3-4 years I will be committing to the University of Michigan."

Davis chose Michigan over a final five that also featured Ohio State, Clemson, Tennessee and UNC in part, he said, because "me and Coach Harbaugh have a great relationship."

"I'm loving everything about being a Wolverine and I can't wait to get up there and earn my job," said Davis, who also held offers from the likes of Alabama, Georgia and LSU.

The No. 4-ranked quarterback in 2024 according to the 247 Sports recruiting composite, Davis becomes Michigan's heir apparent to J.J. McCarthy, a likely NFL Draft pick after next season.
