The Joe Milton era didn't last long at Michigan -- three games and a couple halves.
After a disappointing season as the Wolverines' starting quarterback, Milton has entered the transfer portal, he announced Thursday on Twitter.
Milton entered last season as QB 1 amid tons of hype. He was replaced by Cade McNamara four games later in the second half of a blowout loss to Wisconsin, then again the next week in the second half of an overtime win over Rutgers.
He finished the season with four touchdowns, four interceptions and a completion percentage of 56.7 that ranked outside the top 100 quarterbacks in the country.
With McNamara returning in 2021 and five-star recruit J.J. McCarthy arriving, Milton will be headed elsewhere. He's the second big name to seek a transfer from Michigan this offseason, after RB Zach Charbonnet moved on to UCLA.
