The ever revolving story of Jim Harbaugh vs. the NCAA has reportedly come to somewhat of a conclusion.
After allegedly lying to NCAA investigators last year about potential rules violations within his program, Harbaugh -- who maintains he never offered knowingly false information -- is self imposing a three game suspension according to The Detroit News.
Harbaugh will reportedly return to the sideline for Big Ten play when the Wolverines host Rutgers on Sept. 23.
Michigan, which is expected to be ranked in the preseason top five coming off its second straight Big Ten title, plays its first three games at home against East Carolina, UNLV and Bowling Green.
Earlier this summer Michigan and the NCAA had reportedly reached a "negotiated resolution" for a four-game suspension, but reports surfaced this month that it was not approved by the NCAA Committee on Infractions.
