The University of Texas mascot 'Bevo' has been named in a lawsuit.
Remember the video of Bevo charging at Uga, the Georgia bulldog mascot at the 2019 Sugar Bowl? A photographer said he suffered "permanent" neck and back injuries after being knocked over in the incident.
Nick Wagner was working for the Austin American-Statesman at the time. He says Bevo's horns rammed him twice in the back.
He wants a jury trial with damages between $200,000 and $1 million.
John and Betty Baker, Bevo's owners, are named as defendants along with the Silver Spurs Alumni Association. The group is in charge of handling the 1,700-pound steer.
