The hard-hitting defensive struggle between the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers apparently wasn’t the only physical battle that took place at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., Monday night.
A video posted by a bystander on Instagram shows a wild brawl in the concourse of the stadium between a man decked out in Panthers gear and another man who appears to be a Saints fan.
The cause of the fight remains unknown because the video starts with the presumed Saints fan, dressed in black and white, already on top of the Panthers fan and wailing away with his fists.
Anson Phillips, the Instagram user who posted the video, captioned it, “Sums up the Saints vs. Panthers Monday Night Game.”
Comments on the clip from other Instagram users included references to the Panthers’ team slogan, “Keep pounding,” while one user commented, “That was a whole box of spicy Popeyes chicken, about 6 biscuits and NO damn sweet tea! Damn.”
