The Celtics led by 10 with four minutes left in Game 6. Then they seemingly gave both the game and their season away.
The Heat came storming back, the Boston offense went quiet, and Al Horford committed a costly foul on Jimmy Butler in the closing seconds that sent Butler to the line for three free throws. He hit all three to give Miami a 103-102 lead with three seconds remaining.
But just like the Celtics weren't dead when they were down 3-0 in the series, they weren't dead trailing with three seconds to go either.
Thanks to Derrick White, they weren't even dead when Marcus Smart's shot out of the timeout didn't fall. White crashed the boards and put back the rebound at the buzzer to give the Celtics an incredible 104-103 victory.
The officials reviewed the shot to make sure, but replay showed the ball clearly out of White's hand with 0.2 seconds left on the clock.
Watch the buzzer-beater below. Game 7 will be Monday at TD Garden at 8:30 p.m.
