The bolts star quarterback Justin Herbert seems to be taking his mind off the sport but is putting in some work, not in the weight room, but on the basketball court.

A video has gone viral across social media, showing the former Oregon quarterback back at his alma maters rec center and throwing down a vicious tomahawk slam on some opponents who clearly lacked the pro athletes' size and strength.

To be fair to his victims, Herbert is 6-foot-6, 236 pounds, and the guys he was playing with looked like they just finished their first semester in college.

In the video, Herbert can be seen with the ball at the top of the arc, telling his teammates to clear the lane. That's when Herbert takes his man straight to the rack and throws down a massive dunk.

Before dedicating himself to football, Herbert played basketball in high school up till his sophomore year according to MaxPreps. I doubt the Chargers organization would like to see their star quarterback going all out in a pickup basketball game, but it may just be a testament to his competitive spirit.

I'm sure those kids were just trying to play a normal game of fives before they one of the NFL's best quarterbacks just rolled up to their game and started dominating.
