Will Tim Tebow return to the NFL this season?

See odds, potential landing spots for Tebow

Now that Tim Tebow's professional baseball career has come to an end, he has set his sights on a triumphant NFL return. This time as a tight end.

The former quarterback worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars and his former Florida coach turned Jaguars coach, Urban Meyer, with the goal of returning to the league. And there are now some betting odds out on how Tebow's future might unfold.

Tebow hasn't played in an NFL game since 2012. But, he seems ready to get back in the saddle at a different position following his stint as a professional baseball player, which lasted longer than I thought it would.

Odds for whether or not Tebow will be on an active NFL roster for Week 1 of this season are Yes +275 and No -450. The odds for whether or not Tebow will catch a pass in Week 1 of the season are Yes +300 and No -500. And, according to Meyer, Tebow's return isn't out of the question.

The odds that Tebow will sign with the Jaguars are Yes +300 and No -500. Meyer said he is "concerned" about his team's tight end position and he is not not considering Tebow for the role.

"I have one job and that is to win games with the Jacksonville Jaguars. If Tim Tebow or Travis Etienne (the former Clemson running back the Jaguars just drafted) can help us win, then that's my job to get them ready to go play," Meyer said on Saturday. "That decision is certainly not made yet."

So you're telling me there's a chance…

As an NFL quarterback, before baseball, Tebow played in 35 games, 23 with the Denver Broncos in 2010 and 2011. And then 12 games with the New York Jets in 2012. Oh, and he was the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner out of Florida.

According to this Draft Night tweet from Tebow on Thursday, his NFL career isn't the only thing he's trying to bring back. So keep an eye out for some major potential life changes for Tebow in the near future.
