52-year-old Caron McBride of Texas recently got married and recently went to officially change her last name when she ran into a little snafu.

McBride learned that she had an outstanding FELONY, stemming from an unreturned VHS tape of Sabrina the Teenaged Witch, which she apparently rented from a video store in her hometown of Norman, Oklahoma over two decades ago and never returned.

McBride told Fox 25 she was initially told she had a felony out for felony embezzlement, and that she was "gonna have a heart attack."

She recalled being let go of multiple jobs over the last 20 years seemingly without reason, and now it all made sense. She said, "This is why... because when they ran my criminal background check, all they're seeing is those two words: felony embezzlement."

McBride had no recollection of even renting the tape, but in 2000 at the time of the incident, was living with a man who had a couple of young daughters, so she believes he may have rented the tape and just never returned it.

The store the tape was rented from even went out of business in 2008!

As such, the Cleveland County District Attorney's Office, who still had the option to prosecute the charges, decided to dismiss them. Now, McBride will need to get her case expunged in order to clear her record moving forward.

"I mean, I didn't try to deceive anyone over Samantha (Sabrina) the Teenage Witch. I swear," she said.
