A man in Australia is accusing his girlfriend of trying to run him over with his car after he took one of the French fries from her lunch.
Apparently, Matthew Finn thought the couple of fries Charlotte Harrison left at the bottom of the her chicken-and-chips pack were up for grabs; they were not.
"Yeah, I shouldn't have asked for that chip," Finn told 9News. "I thought she was finished."
The couple was riding together with Harrison driving when Finn stepped out of the vehicle only for her Subaru to seemingly speed right towards him.
Harrison claims that she accidentally hit the wrong pedal and accelerated instead of braking, though police think otherwise.
They allege Harrison slammed into oncoming traffic and a power box in an attempt to run Finn down.
According to the Daily Star, the magistrate ordered a home detention report, and Harrison will remain in custody in the meantime.
She will return to court on Friday to find out if her bail application was successful.
