A YES Network cameraman was hospitalized after being hit by an errant throw during Wednesday's game between the Yankees and Orioles at Yankee Stadium.
Pete Stendel was hit by an errant throw from Baltimore shortstop Gunnar Henderson, and play was stopped while medical staff on site tended to Stendel. He was taken off the field on a stretcher, but raised a peace sign to the crowd before leaving the field.
The throw came on a grounder to second base, and as Henderson fielded the throw at the bag and looked to finish off a 4-6-3 double play, the throw sailed over first base and hit Stendel, who was working his camera.
Later in the game, the YES Network provided an update that Stendel was conscious and undergoing tests.
