Really, what more could you ask for? Brightly pink walls, donned with lucha libre wrestling memorabilia and there’s always a luchador movie playing. Oh, and did we mention the burritos are EPIC?! Pro tip: call ahead to reserve the champions booth if you’re going to dine-in.

Without a good tortilla, what even is a burrito? Roberto’s was founded in 1964 when Roberto and his wife decided at the urging of customers to make their own burritos from the tortillas produced at their tortilla factory. Their family still runs the restaurants, and they stick to the basics that they do well.

A staple of Chula Vista since 1984, now with 6 locations and they make a mean California burrito, but we won’t fault you if you go for their carne asada fries.

You won’t leave hungry from the self-proclaimed Home of the Surf & Turf – which comes with shrimp, carne asada, rice, guac, and it’s DOUBLE WRAPPED with 2 tortillas. Not feeling surf & turf? They’ve got options for everyone. The Mariachi burrito is a beans/rice/cheese burrito with jalapeno poppers. Yes please.
