I had a busy weekend and spent a lot of time in the car. Being stuck in a metal box hurtling 70 miles an hour being navigated by my wife as she operated a vehicle that comes within a mere 2 or 3 feet from you gives you lots of time to ask yourself many, many questions.
So here are some of my most insightful questions from the weekend when it comes to sports:
Question #1 = Who will be the best high school football team this year in San Diego? Two-a-days are going on right now as teams all over San Diego county prepare for the season kick-off on Aug 23rd. Right now, the Dons are the team to beat.

July 28, 2019 Cathedral Catholic - Coming off their State run, they are still the kings of San Diego High School Football. They have a tough schedule as they have stepped up their non-league matchups. They have two three game runs early and late in the season that will test their mettle.
The Dons host Saguaro Scottsdale in the Honor Bowl on August 31st, then play Centennial Corona the following week, followed by a trip to Helix. OUCH! To end the season they travel to Madison, then play the Holy Bowl at home against the Saints, and then go on the road to Lincoln. If they run that guantlet, they will be the man in San Diego High School football.

SDFNL: No doubt @HelixFootball RB @ElelyonNoa looks the be the one in 2019. Is he the ONE? #imtheone pic.twitter.com/rRxFfy4zMC

July 31, 2019 I cant wait to see Helix this season. They have their own three game stretch that will test them, starting with the Dons on Sept 13th, followed by the Saints and then they welcome Oaks Christian to San Diego. That's a heck of a sretch for the Scotties.
Madison
Our Football Schedule might be the toughest from Top to Bottom ever since I've been here at Madison.Varsity Warhawks getting in that Monday Lift!!!#WarhawkFootball pic.twitter.com/52HFjBTx13

July 15, 2019 Madison is the team looking to make that big step this season, and they can prove to the world how good they are in the season opener at Rancho Bernardo. They have big home games versus Granite Hills, Steele Canyon and Cathedral Catholic.

August 4, 2019 The Saints will have some early tests with Eastlake and Loyola of Los Angeles. It doesn't get any easier with games versus Helix in a must see rematch from the 2018 playoffs, and back to back games with Lincoln and Cathedral Catholic.

March 6, 2019 The hive was buzzing last season with their state run. I am circling their game vs. Cathedral Catholic as one of the games of the year.
How much longer can Tom Brady play, or is he really a cyborg that will play forever?
Breaking: Patriots QB Tom Brady is signing a 2-year extension that will pay him $23 million this year, a source tells @AdamSchefter.It will make him the 6th highest-paid QB in the league. pic.twitter.com/yAWb7Ybze5

August 4, 2019 Tom Brady just signed a new deal for two more years.

August 4, 2019 Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2000 draft, Tom Brady is super-human. Think about this: of the top ten taken that year, Brian Urlacher had the longest career in the league with 13 seasons. He was inducted into Canton five years later and a year after that, his fellow draft class of 2000 classmate Tom Brady just signed a two year deal seven years after Urlacher retired.
In his first year of eligibility Brian Urlacher has been nominated for the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.Congrats, @BUrlacher54! pic.twitter.com/nxDNCeW80e
