The Padres made it interesting in the bottom of the 9th, but Kirby Yates was able to strike out the final batter and secure his 36th save of the season. Catcher Francisco Mejia hit another homer in Cincinnati to take the lead, and the Padres never looked back. They move to 59-65 on the year and have now won 3 straight games.
