Carlsbad 21, Cathedral Catholic 20

Cathedral Catholic gambled last night, after scoring a touchdown with 1:16 in the 4th quarter to pull within a point of Carlsbad. Cathedral went for the winning 2-point conversion but Carlsbad was able to make the stop and pull out a 21-20 victory over Cathedral. No. 3-seeded Carlsbad will face top-seeded Helix in the championship game Saturday at Southwestern College.
