The roof was open at Minute Maid Park for Game 2 of the ALCS on Thursday night, and one of the teams involved apparently didn't like it.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone turned heads after the game, when he suggested the roof may have adversely affected his team's offense.

Specifically, Boone thought a hard-hit flyout by Aaron Judge in the eighth inning could have left the yard in a different setting.

"I think the roof open kind of killed us," Boone said. "I think it was like a 390[-foot] ball. I think it was like 106, 107 [mph] or whatever. ... I think Judge's is a homer all the time. The wind was blowing across like that. So, I didn't think he smoked it, like a no-doubter, but it felt like his homers to right."

According to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, Statcast estimated that Judge's blast off Houston's Bryan Abreu would have been a home run in only one Major League ballpark -- Yankee Stadium. Instead, Astros right fielder Kyle Tucker reeled it in with his back against the wall.

However, Boone would seem to have a point, at least based on the data of balls hit similarly to Judge's flyout throughout the regular season. According to MLB analyst Devan Fink, Judge's ball should have travelled 414 feet on average.

Yankees starter Luis Severino struck a similar chord when he compared the three-run home run he surrendered to Houston's Alex Bregman to Judge's flyout. Severino said the Astros "got lucky."

In fairness to Boone, he also remarked that the Yankees must do a better job with the bats:

In any event, Boone's roof comments didn't sit well with many fans and journalists on social media, who saw it as an excuse for the Yankees' overall poor offensive performance. After scoring the second-most runs in MLB during the regular season, the Bombers have been limited to four total runs in the first two games of the ALCS. In Game 2, Yankees hitters mustered just four hits, and struck out 13 times.
