After establishing himself as a terrific right-handed hitter throughout his career, Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon finally tried his hand from the left side on Tuesday night.

The result was epic.
Rendon clubbed a two-run homer in his first career at-bat as a lefty, coming against a position player who was brought in for mop-up duty in a blowout.
On Wednesday, Angels manager reportedly acknowledged the unlikely development on the Angels official lineup card, denoting Rendon as a switch-hitter.
Rendon, a career .285/.368/.481 hitter and an All-Star in 2019, entered Wednesday's action with 4,529 career plate appearances -- all but one coming from the right side.
But what a PA it was.
While that might stretch the definition of switch-hitter, no one can take away Rendon's memorable debut from the left side.
The surreal scene came on a notable night for the Angels, with starter Reid Detmers throwing the 12th no-hitter in the franchise's history.
