The Detroit Lions and Houston Texans plan to interview current ESPN NFL Monday Night Football analyst Louis Riddick for their vacant general manager positions, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Riddick, 51, last worked in the NFL as the director of pro personnel for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2010-2013 and is has been rumored to one of the names the Eagles could consider in replacing current GM Howie Roseman, if Roseman is in fact let go after the season.
After the Eagles' fourth straight loss to fall to 3-8-1, Riddick criticized Roseman just five days ago.
“Although, we all know this — this is an organizational fail. The team has not been set up right. There have been numerous, numerous personnel missteps.”
Riddick, a safety, played college football at Pittsburgh and was drafted by the 49ers in the ninth round of the 1991 NFL Draft. He also played for the Falcons, Browns, and Raiders.
