Former Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is in critical condition after being stabbed in the chest and shoulder inside a Pittsburgh apartment overnight, according to multiple reports.
Pryor, 30, underwent surgery for his injuries, and his family expects him to survive, ESPN reported.
No other details about the stabbing have yet been reported.
Pryor entered the NFL in 2011 as a quarterback with the Oakland Raiders before transitioning to wide receiver four years later with the Cleveland Browns. His best season came in 2016, when he caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns for the Browns.

Pryor signed as a free agent with the Jets in March 2018, but he was released after just six games, catching 14 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. The former Ohio State star, who has been out of the NFL this season after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars in September, also played for the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills.
He was born and raised in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, located about 30 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
