Following National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell’s apology for not supporting player protests, several people took to social media to call for a boycott of the NFL.
The report cites data from Twitter, and said it tracked more than 100,000 tweets with NFL boycott related hashtags.
Per the report, Mississippi and Florida, were the top two states calling for a league boycott. Florida is home to three NFL franchises, the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Alabama ranked sixth and Texas eighth.
