Detroit Pistons legend Rip Hamilton is going West Coast.
The retired NBA star reportedly purchased a home in the San Fernando Valley’s Encino neighborhood for a whopping $9.2 million.

The new estate, built in 2002, sits on a 0.62-acre lot and is 10,580 square feet and has seven bedroom and nine bathrooms, according to Dirt.com, which had all the details of the home.
The house, while visible from the street, is tucked down a tree-line driveway with a two-car garage and is lined with balconies and walls of glass frame views of the property. It includes an emerald green library with five chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, a walk-in wine closet, backyard pool/spa combo and features a spacious motorcourt, which doubles as a basketball court.
Other highlights of the home include a fireside living room and formal dining room, gourmet kitchen with two marble islands, high-end stainless appliances and butler’s pantry.

The family room contains a fireplace, snack bar, casual dining area and bi-fold doors that open to the backyard while the master suite, located upstairs, has a fireplace, vaulted ceiling, ornate boiserie-panaled walls, a balcony and dual baths and walk-in closets.
In addition to the pool, which is surrounded by a cabana and sundeck, the backyard consists of covered patios, separate al fresco dining/lounge cabana, kitchenette with built-in barbecue and dual fire pits as well as a one-bed, one-bath guesthouse.
Hamilton’s luxury West Coast purchase comes after he recently sold his Fort Lauderdale home for $8.9 million last summer, which he had originally purchased for $4.25 million six years prior.
It is not a stretch to say Hamilton is killing it in retirement, at least in the real estate department.
