The Padres beat the Cardinals 5-0 on Tuesday night in one of their most complete performances of the season. Mike Clevinger, Nick Martinez, Tim Hill and Luis Garcia combined to limit the Cardinals to just 5 hits en route to a combined shutout. San Diego's bats were alive as well. Jake Cronenworth drove in 2 runs in the first inning with a bloop single. Ha-Seong Kim's solo homer in the 4th inning gave the Padres a 3-0 lead. The Padres added insurance runs in the 5th and 7th innings thanks to RBI-singles from Manny Machado and Juan Soto. Just about everyone got in on the fun, and the Padres came away victorious.
