The Padres defeated the Rockies 9-1 on Wednesday night, as the team's offense exploded in the debut of Juan Soto, Josh Bell and Brandon Drury. The Padres got the party started early, scoring 5 runs in the 1st inning. Soto and Bell each drew walks in their first at-bats, and Drury hit a grand slam on the first pitch he saw. Soto would end the night 1-3 with a single, 2 walks and a run scored. Blake Snell allowed just 1 run and struck out 9 over 6 innings. Snell has now allowed 1 run or less and pitched at least 5 innings in 3 consecutive starts and 5 out of his last 6. This was the Padres' 5th win in a row.
