The Padres dropped the crucial series finale to the Dodgers 13-7 on Monday, giving them their 3rd loss in 4 games in this series. The Padres looked like they were ready to split the 4-game set, jumping all over Tony Gonsolin for 5 runs in the 3rd inning, and a 5-0 lead. But the Dodgers immediately responded, scoring 8 runs in the top of the 4th, including a grand slam to Mookie Betts to knock Seth Lugo out of the game. The Dodgers weren't done then, as they tacked on 5 more runs off of newly acquired reliever Scott Barlow in the 6th inning, ending any hopes the Padres had of making a comeback. After the game, Seth Lugo said that hey thought the Dodgers knew what pitches were coming.
