The Padres lost to the Nationals 8-3 on Sunday, their second series loss in a row. Former Padres top pitching prospect MacKenzie Gore allowed 1 run and struck out 9 over 5 innings. Things fell apart for the Padres in the top of the 7th inning with the Padres trailing 3-1 and Tim Hill on the mound. The southpaw had two throwing errors to first base, while hitting a batter and giving up two hits, as the the Nationals tacked on 5 runs, blowing the game wide open.
