The Padres won a WILD Game 2 of the NLDS in LA on Sunday evening, defeating the Dodgers 10-2. Yu Darvish was masterful, allowing just one run over 7 innings of work. The Padres blasted six home runs, including two by Fernando Tatis Jr, but the story of the game were the dramatic moments throughout the game involving the fans. In the bottom of the 1st inning, Jurickson Profar robbed Mookie Betts of what looked like a game-tying home run. Profar didn't immediately show that he had caught the ball, and instead jawed with fans in the crowd, making it unclear as to whether or not he had caught it.

Then in the 6th inning, Jack Flaherty and Manny Machado got into a verbal spat after Flaherty struck Machado out. Their argument carried over in between innings. Prior to the start of the 7th inning, fans in left field threw a baseball towards Jurickson Profar, who took exception. The game was delayed as the umpires tried to get the situation under control and the entire Padres team gathered in shallow left field to calm Profar down.

All in all, the Padres made a loud statement that they wouldn't go quietly after losing Game 1, and earned a crucial road split in LA to steal homefield advantage from the Dodgers. The NLDS resumes with Game 3 in San Diego on Tuesday.
