Yu Darvish was placed on the 15-day IL at the end of August due to elbow inflammation, and after examination, it was revealed that he had bone spurs in his elbow. Darvish met with the media at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, and explained that he had resumed throwing from 90 feet and felt some irritation afterwards. Darvish decided it was best to stop throwing and shut it down for the rest of the season. Darvish finished the 2023 season with an 8-10 record, 4.56 ERA and 141 strikeouts in 136.1 innings pitched. The 37 year old pitcher signed a 6-year $108 million contract extension this past offseason. You can watch Darvish's full comments below.
