According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Aztecs 7-foot center Magoon Gwath has entered the transfer portal, and will also test the NBA waters when it comes to what's next for the conference's reigning Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. Gwath averaged 8.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game for San Diego State, anchoring the Aztecs' defense. Gwath joins guard Nick Boyd in entering the transfer portal, creating another hole that Brian Dutcher will need to fill.
