San Diego Football Club improved to 2-0-1 with a 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake on Saturday night. SDFC's 7 points puts them in second place in the Western Conference behind Vancouver, who has 9 points with a record of 3-0-0. Real Salt Lake jumped out to an early lead when Ariath Piol scored in the 17th minute to go up 1-0. Franco Negri would score the equalizer in the 43rd minute just before the half. Anders Dreyer's late-game heroics continued, as he scored what would turn out to be the game-winner during stoppage time in the 91st minute after a deflection off of one of RSL's defenders near their box. 5 minutes later, Marcus Ingvartsen put the match out of reach with the team's final goal, upping their goal differential on the season to 4.
