One week ago, St. Peter’s guard Doug Edert was likely an unknown to anyone outside of Jersey City. Now, the March Madness sensation has an endorsement with one of the biggest sports bar franchises in the country.

Edert signed an NIL deal with Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday, and has also launched a clothing line with Barstool Sports, the latter of which features a picture of Edert with his tongue out, like the iconic image that captured Edert after a big 3-pointer helped the Peacocks to an improbable first-round win over second-seeded Kentucky.

Edert and St. Peter’s followed that stunner up with a win over Murray State, becoming just the third 15th seed in March Madness history to reach the Sweet 16.

The St. Peter’s bench contributor revealed the NIL deal with Buffalo Wild Wings by posing with a wing in hand in front of a table loaded with boxes of wings, french fries, and cheese bites. Now, the focus for Edert shifts back to Friday, when St. Peter’s looks to continue to be the story of the tournament with a win over third-seeded Purdue in Philadelphia.
