Amidst celebrating her album release, SNL musical guest performance, her new music video leaving the internet speechless, and attending the Oscars looking like a bubblegum pink princess, Ariana Grande also had a message for anyone who has been trolling her close one’s on the internet after listening to eternal sunshine.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Ariana wrote, “I just wanted to say anyone that is sending hateful messages to the people in my life based on your interpretation of this album is not supporting me and is absolutely doing the polar opposite of what i would ever encourage (and is also entirely misinterpreting the intention behind the music)… i ask that you please do not. it is not how to support me. it is the opposite.”

She continued, “although this album captures a lot of painful moments, it also is woven together with a through line of deep, sincere love. if you cannot hear that, please listen more closely.” Concluding with a “thank you,” which she followed up with another “thank you! i love you!!!!!!!" in a second slide.

Grande’s introspective new album, spends its 35 minutes and 32 seconds run time navigating the complexities of her divorce, and the backlash that came from the relationship that followed. Filled with romantic bops and Pop ballads, eternal sunshine is Grande’s gorgeously honest, but still artistically vague, journey through the various stages of grief into living her truth, focusing on her mental health, and letting everyone know to mind your business.

After dropping eternal sunshine on Friday, and dropping her raved about music video for "we can't be friends (wait for you love)," Ari joined host Josh Brolin as the musical guest on Saturday night’s episode of SNL. See Grande’s now deleted message to her fans above, and check out her SNL performances of “we can’t be friends, (wait for your love)” and “imperfect for you,” below.
