It’s no secret the 32 year old singer-songwriter has been a busy man of late. Releasing his single “Boat,” preparing for his upcoming album and documentary series release this week, and even defending himself and performing in court against a copyright allegation. It seems like Sheeran is in multiple places at the same time. And now, his album is going on the road without him for “The Subtract Experience Pop-Up” with American Express.

The album pop-ups are set for May 5-7, right as the album is released. As half listening party and half exclusive merchandise store, each “experience” will occur in major US cities New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago and Boston. The pop-up is said to help fans, “dive deep into the visuals of his new album Subtract and experience more #withAmex including limited edition merchandise, official signed CDs, immersive installations, and a dedicated in-store shopping experience.”

In addition to these pop-ups, Subtract will also be featured in, “Independent Record Store Listening Events.” These will be much more like a typical listening party, but on a national scale. Indie record stores in thirty-five different states will host special events for the Subtract album release, which is the final installment of Sheeran’s math-themed albums.
