Helmut Huber, husband of soap legend Susan Lucci, has died. He was 84.

The television producer passed away peacefully at his home on Long Island, New York on Monday, according to People.
"A family man, he was a loyal friend, and loved them deeply," a representative for Huber's family told the outlet. "With a roaring sense of humor, larger-than-life personality, and a practical problem-solver, he lived his life to the fullest."
Lucci, 75, released a statement through her publicist, Jessica Sciacchitano.
"Helmut's passing is a tremendous loss for all who knew and loved him. He was an extraordinary husband, father, grandfather, and friend," read the statement. "The family kindly asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult time."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Stroke Association.
Huber and Lucci wed on September 13, 1969 and share two children. After the actress joined the ABC soap opera “All My Children” in 1970, Huber became Lucci’s manager and the CEO of her company Pine Valley Productions.
Born in Austria, Huber was an esteemed chef before entering the entertainment industry. According to Deadline, Huber and Lucci first met while both working at the hotel where he was the executive chef.
Last month, Lucci shared a selfie celebrating Valentine’s Day with Huber at a NYC restaurant.
Lucci’s husband’s passing comes less than a year after the death of her mother. In June 2021, the Emmy winner disclosed that her mom, Jeanette Lucci, had died at the age of 104.
Huber is survived by Lucci, two sons and two daughters, his brother, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
