I had an amazing day on Saturday biking the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail. My bud Joe Snedeker suggested I jump on the trail in Simpson & that's exactly what I did. The volunteers really do an incredible job keeping the trail well maintained. You really need to hike or bike any of the nearly 70 mile trail system. It's a truly beautiful trip along the Lackawanna River along an old Delaware & Hudson rail system. You'll wind thru the old railbeds, crossing bridges, some that once carried the trains back in the day. It really is a breathtaking ride!
Check out some of my pics here...

One of the many incredible views.

You'll get some railroad history along the way

An old abandoned railroad bridge just off the trail

Another beautiful view on the trail

The early 1900's caboose in Uniondale

Take the road less travelled

Hope to see you on the trail soon!
