Today is World Tourism Day. Time to give up some of your secrets.
What is your TRAVELING HACK???
*Vannessa: Just go on the trip. Work will always be there.
*Trina: When I want to go all inclusive trips I use cheap Caribbean ! I get deals 50-70% off ! Leave right out of Avoca.
*Sarah: Go directly to the rental car kiosk and grab luggage after in order to beat the long line.
*Douglas: Fly from AVP. Easy to get to. Prices can be really competitive. Easy to find a ride to and from the airport. Security is quick. Easy and responsibly priced if you need to park.
*Maddie: Stay hydrated!!! Bring a reusable water bottle. Take vitamin c gummies or airborne.
*Melissa: Use a Travel Agent! Travel is so complicated, it's amazing to have the support of a great TA before and during travel!!!
*Maria: Throw a few dryer sheets in your suitcase to keep your clothes smelling fresh.
*Amanda: Compression bags.
*George: If it’s in your budget, spend the extra money on economy plus seating.
*Kirsten: Really, TRULY read the terms and conditions. Purchase travel insurance. These are the simplest things but, most people won’t do either.
*Maureen: Always pack an outfit in a carry-on, in case checked luggage gets lost.
*Dayna: Packing light a few pairs of shorts or pants and mix and match shirts... I don't understand people bringing huge luggage and hundreds of outfits fir a few days. Also rolling t shirts makes more room.
*Stacey: I roll my clothes instead of folding them. Put underwear and socks into the shoes. It saves so much space! And I always leave some room for souvenirs.
*Amanda: I always fold full outfits together, that way you don't have to dig through everything.
*Theresa: For driving, pack the car the night before.
*Jolynn: Always bring a duffle inside your carry on / checked bag. That way you have extra room for souvenirs on the way back.
*Maureen: Never book a trip on a weekend. Always wait until like Tuesday or Wednesday late night probably around midnight to get the best price.
*Tara: I buy shower caps to put on my dirty shoes so they don’t touch my clean clothes. Pack your luggage upright not laying flat.
