Fans of the TV series "1883" have a new way to enjoy the western drama.

An exhibit dedicated to a hit streaming series set and shot in Fort Worth, Texas opened Friday at the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.
The hit Paramount+ series "1883" is a prequel to the Paramount Network series "Yellowstone," and it follows the journey of the Dutton family from Fort Worth to Montana, where they would buy the land that would become Yellowstone Ranch.
"It's a true honor to have my hometown embrace what I do and be a part of it," series creator Taylor Sheridan said at Thursday night's ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Sheridan said it was important for him to create "1883."
"You will repeat history if you don't learn from it," Sheridan said. "And you can't learn from it if you ignore it."
Some of the cast members of "1883" were on hand at the ribbon-cutting, including Isabel May, Eric Nelsen, Gratiela Brancusi and Dawn Olivieri.
Brancusi and Olivieri looked with awe at the costume display.
"It's funny to see it without the people inside of them," said Brancusi, who plays Noemi on the series. "Because we lived around this for six months."
Olivieri, who played Claire Dutton, was impressed at how the costumes were displayed.
"I'm looking at Sam's outfit; and if you don't look at the head, it looks like he's standing there because that's how he stands," Olivieri said.
Sheridan said the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is the perfect venue for such an exhibit.
"I think it's extremely fitting that we have a venue here at this museum that celebrates the strength of women in the West," Sheridan said.
Sheridan said the museum did a fantastic job with the exhibit.
"I'm touched and honored to see these costumes and see the incredible artistry of what this museum has put together," Sheridan said.
Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker said the city is all-in in the film industry.
"In just six years, the Film Commission has worked with hundreds of films, television and commercial projects, and driven over $300 million in economic impact and created over 17,000 jobs," Parker said. "And I believe, for one, we are just getting started here in Fort Worth."
"1883: The Journey West" is on display through March 21st.
