Joe Budden just went to war with the BTS ARMY: 'I don’t want to see Korean-SYNC'

'I don’t wanna see them dance moves, I don’t wanna see you come down in the sky in a little umbrella'

It's not just music fans and critics who like to express their opinions on the latest trends -- musical, cultural, or otherwise. Artists themselves also step into the fray from time to time, and the most recent display of animosity towards one of their contemporaries comes from "Pump It Up" rapper Joe Budden.

In episode 524 of the Joe Budden Podcast, Budden says he's truly not a fan of K-pop superstars BTS, without giving any real reason for his stance -- although their use of umbrellas during their performance at this year's GRAMMYs certainly struck a nerve. "I hate them BTS n****s,” Budden said of the group. “Do I need a reason? I hate them n****s. I hate ’em. I don’t have to divulge my reason to but I just hate them n****s. I don’t want to hear that s***. I don’t wanna see them dance moves, I don’t wanna see you come down in the sky in a little umbrella. I don’t wanna see [you]...come from the audience and link up like Voltron and do all of the 98 Degrees moves. I don’t wanna see none of this s***."

Budden then mistook the "K," which stands for "Korean" in K-pop, for China apparently, before correcting himself when calling the worldwide sensations a knockoff version of *NSYNC. "I know they big and I know it’s China but I don’t want to see it,” he said. "I don’t want to see Korean-SYNC."

Sick burn, bro, but here's the thing... Don't listen. Don't watch. It's that easy. Why have this hot take on a genre of music you have literally no Venn Diagram relationship with whatsoever? That's like Metallica trashing Maren Morris. Now you have to deal with the millions of K-pop fans around the globe hitting you up on Twitter with all of their songs. Enjoy!

Budden has since responded to some, saying he doesn't expect to be "bullied outta my music opinion lol," while arguing his comments were simply from a musical standpoint, and that he corrected his "China" misstep.
