MerleFest 2023, presented by Window World, will be held on the campus of Wilkes Community College April 27-30. 2023 artists include The Avett Brothers, Maren Morris, Little Feat, Marcus King, Tanya Tucker, and more!
The MUSIC of MerleFest was best explained by Doc himself: “When Merle and I started out we called our music ‘traditional plus’, meaning the traditional music of the Appalachian region plus whatever other styles we were in the mood to play. Since the beginning, the people of the college and I have agreed that the music of MerleFest is ‘traditional plus’.”
The MOMENTS of MerleFest are those unique experiences that only happen here. It may be two musicians you never expected to see collaborating, a shooting star over the Watson Stage during an evening’s closing set, or that one set that seems to have touched everyone in the audience.

March 13, 2023 at 12:00am ET through March 20, 2023 at 12:00am ETFor the "Win Tickets To Merlefest" online contest, enter between 12:00 a.m. ET on March 13, 2023 and 12:00 a.m. ET March 20, 2023, by clicking the appropriate contest entry link at 987simon.com/contests, and completing the online entry form. One entry per person during contest period. On or around 8:00 a.m. ET on March 20, 2023, five (5) entries will be randomly selected, and upon verification, will receive two (2) general admission tickets each valid for any one day of the Merlefest concert event day of their choice, April 27, 2023 - April 30, 2023, Wilkes Community College, 1328 S Collegiate Dr, Wilkesboro, NC 28697, valued at $160.00, courtesy of Merlefest. There will be a total of five (5) winners in this contest. The winner(s) and any guest(s), if applicable, must comply with any and all COVID-19 vaccination, screening, testing, safety and related requirements imposed or required by (if applicable) the Station, the venue, event promoter, sponsors, travel providers, hotels, governmental authorities or others in connection with the receipt, use, and redemption of the prize. Refusal to comply with all applicable COVID-19 requirements will result in forfeiture of the prize and no replacement or alternate prize will be provided. All cancellations are deemed beyond the control of the Station and its sponsors. This includes, but is not limited to, event cancellations due to any pandemic or epidemic constituting a public health emergency, including those subject to government mandated quarantines, travel restrictions, or stay-at-home orders.
