With only nine days until Christmas, the clock is ticking for holiday shopping to arrive on your doorstep in time.
As more customers than ever turn to online shopping this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic and severe weather in parts of the United States, Amazon revealed its 2020 shipping deadlines for the holidays.
Good Morning America reported that Amazon confirmed that Wednesday, December 23, will be the last day for one-day delivery, free for Amazon Prime members. Christmas Eve, December 24, marks the cutoff for same-day delivery, free for members with a minimum $35 order.
In select cities, December 24 will also be the last day for two-hour grocery delivery for Amazon Prime members.
“Their gifts will get there on time,” John Felton, vice president of Amazon’s global delivery services, said. “We’re delivering up until the 24th. We’ve been hiring for the event, we’ve been increasing our capacity and we’ve got lots of options for all types of customers and for sure the procrastinators.”
