Shania Twain’s legendary leopard catsuit is back! Actually, now that we think about it, can anything that iconic ever really be “gone?” The answer our friends, is no.
Through the years, salutes to the ferocious leotard have been made. Besides the the outfit serving as over two decades of Halloween costume inspiration, earlier this year, in her music video for "You Should Be Sad,” Halsey wore a hooded leopard-print ensemble reminiscent of Twain's look made famous in her own music video for "That Don't Impress Me Much.”
And now, 22 years after blessing us with the sultry leopard look, it seems Twain is trying to outdo the emulators and herself.
In the music video for Canadian country singer Orville Peck’s latest hit “Legends Never Die,” on which Twain is featured, Shania gave her famous fit a fresh new vibe fitted with glittery tassels and a cowboy hat, and contradictory to her 1997 song’s title, we are very much impressed.
“Legends Never Die is out now!” Twain shared on Instagram. “I'm flattered that @orvillepeck thought of me for this song, the whole EP is amazing so make sure you check it out.”
The duo also appeared on the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, to perform their new single, which they filmed in an empty bar. This time, both Orville and Shania kept it Country classic chic. Peck kept his face hidden as per usual. They both gave us sparkly western vibes, with you guessed it, all the tassels.
“Legends Never Die” along with it’s glitzy music video was released last week, check it out here. The single appears on Peck’s new EP Show Pony, which also includes previously-released singles “No Glory in the West” and “Summertime.”
