Ross revealed plans to release an album titled, Thank You, on September 10 featuring new music. The album is the first project in 15 years for Ross, and the first album with new music in 22 years.
“This collection of songs is my gift to you with appreciation and love,” Ross said. “I am eternally grateful that I had the opportunity to record this glorious music at this time.”
Ross’ most-recent album, I Love You, was released in 2006, while her last album featuring original content, Every Day Is A New Day, hit shelves in 1999.
The Thank You album track-list features 13 songs including “In Your Heart,” “Let’s Do It,” “Count On Me,” “Come Together,” and the title track, “Thank You,” which is available to fans now. A number of collaborations can also be heard with artists including Jack Antonoff, Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx, Spike Stent, and more.
“I dedicate this songbook of love to all of you, the listeners,” expressed Ross. “As you hear my voice you hear my heart.”
The well-known singer celebrated her 77th birthday earlier this year and is proving to be more fabulous than ever.
“Happy Birthday to me, everyday is a celebration!” She posted on social media with a throwback clip of her spinning in a blue gown on stage.
Ross seems to have found music inspiration and a new appreciation for life over the past year amidst the pandemic. While breaking the news of not being able to tour for (at least) another year, Diana promised she isn’t going anywhere and will never stop singing.
“Life is about change, and this time has, in many ways, been a gift of Reflection and Gratefulness,” she wrote. “My Love and Gratitude has never been stronger. It seems it will be another year before I am able to tour again. I will always continue singing.”
