Greenville, SC - Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol reports one person has died in a hit and run collision just west of Greenville early Friday morning.
A pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle around 1:36AM on US 123 near Bryson Street. The Greenville County coroner's office reports EMS found the victim in the roadway with multiple blunt force injuries.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital where he later died. The coroner's office has identified the victim as 19-year-old James Larry Lindsey of Greenville.
So far there is no description of the vehicle suspected of hitting the pedestrian. The Highway Patrol is investigating.
