The bars of Tennessee's Davidson County--including Nashville's famous Lower Broadway--are being shuttered after video went viral this weekend of revelers continuing to pack the famous strip's music venues and clubs. "Downtown Nashville remains undefeated," one Twitter user wrote alongside video showing a packed house as a band plays onstage and drinks are served. Nashville Mayor Jon Cooper recommended Sunday that local Metro Board of Health authorities go through with the closures, which were quickly approved. While bars will close entirely, restaurants can continue seat diners until they reach 50 percent capacity, with a cap at 100 individuals. Bar service at restaurants must also be limited 50 percent capacity, with no standing allowed.
